Dharwad Milk Union to launch welfare trust

Sirsi: The Dharwad Milk Union is planning to launch a farmers’ welfare trust for the welfare of farmers who are members of the union, its president Basavaraj Arabagonda has said.

Addressing presspersons here on Tuesday, he said the union aimed at increasing milk producing societies to increase milk production to one lakh litres a day and it had planned to provide Rs. 15 a litre for cow milk and Rs. 18 a litre for buffalo milk. Election to the Dharwad Milk Union would be held on July 3.
