Well done: Collector T. Soundiah felicitating a longtime dealer of Indian Oil Corporation in Tiruchi on Tuesday. — TIRUCHI: Globalisation has ushered in a change in business organisations, and their approach and style of functioning accords primacy to consumers’ requirements, Collector T. Soundiah said on Tuesday. Addressing the golden jubilee celebrations of Indian Oil Corporation Limited here, Mr. Soundiah said it was the consumers who determined business in the changed globalised environment. Public sector undertakings too had introduced new strategies and technical inputs to keep pace with competition in the liberalised era and majority of them were making profits, he observed. There was more transparency now owing to globalisation. Stating that Indian Oil Corporation Limited was the frontrunner among public sector undertakings in the country, he said it had attained international stature today. The Collector honoured oldest dealers of the Indian Oil Corporation on the occasion.
