Convict escapes

Coimbatore: Nandakumar, who was convicted and sentenced to ten years rigorous imprisonment and to pay a fine of Rs. 5,000 in a dowry harassment case, escaped from the Mahila Court premises immediately after judgment was pronounced on Tuesday.

The Judge of the Mahila Court, Dakshinamoorthy, convicted and sentenced Nandakumar.

The convicted person quietly escaped from the premises soon after.

A complaint has been lodged with Race Course.
