Jewellery stolen

About 15 sovereigns of gold ornaments were reported stolen from a house in Virugambakkam on Monday.

According to police sources, Arul Kumar (45), a software engineer, and his wife Vasanthi (40), who works as a professor in a private engineering college, returned home after work and noticed the side door of their house on Ilango Street open. The jewellery kept in the safe was missing.

The Virugambakkam police have registered a case.
