Bangalore: West scored 243 for nine against North in a Col. Hemu Adhikari Memorial Trophy NCA inter-academy under-19 tournament final that commenced at the Chinnaswamy Stadium here on Tuesday. Gaurav Jathar (57 n.o.) and Manpreet Juneja (54) anchored the West first innings after North opted to field. The scores: Final: West 243 for nine in 95 overs (Gaurav Jathar 57 n.o., Manpreet Juneja 54, Bhargav Merai 31, Manan Sharma five for 74) vs. North. Third-place play-off: AIU 228 in 68.3 overs (Bravish Shetty 71,Vishal Singh 34, Gagandeep three for 32, Md. Ahraj three for 36) vs. Central 66 for seven in 23.3 overs (Ankit Lamba 25, Sparsh Jain six for 16).
