Easy for SVS

DINDIGUL: E. Jayaprakash struck an unbeaten half-century as Sri Vasantha Sweets CC defeated Sam Babu XI by six wickets in a Dindigul DCA first division league cricket match here.

The scores:

First div.: Sam Babu XI 133 in 29.2 overs (S. John Leslie 30, Thangadurai three for 21) lost to Sri Vasantha Sweets CC 137 for four in 17.2 overs (E. Jayaprakash 52 n.o., Thangapandian 38, K. Deepak Khanna three for 19).

Inter-school football

The Dindigul District Football Association and SMB Matriculation Higher Secondary School will jointly conduct the seventh State-level inter-school football tournament for the SMB Trophy at the school grounds here from July 31 to August 2.

SDCA U-14 team trials
