HYDERABAD: Decks for recruitment 52,675 teachers have been cleared with the release of District Selection Committee (DSC) – 2008 exam results by Secondary Education Minister D. Manikya Vara Prasad here on Tuesday. The district-wise counselling for filling the posts will be held in August. The government will soon issue guidelines selection and appointment of candidates. The Minister said the counselling would be held for recruiting 12,293 school assistants, 30,571 secondary grade teachers, 7,021 language pundits and 2,790 physical education teachers. A record number of over 5.47 lakh candidates had taken the DSC examination this year. Marks of all the candidates, expect the withheld cases, had been hosted on different websites such as ‘ www.manabadi.com’, ‘ www.school9.com’, ‘ www.deccanpost.in’ and www.indg.in’. Results withheldCandidates can also get the results by calling BSNL interactive voice response numbers 12630099 and 1255560. The Minister said results of 1,886 candidates had been withheld and reasons for the decision could be availed from respective District Education Officers. Commissioner and Director of the Department Poonam Malakondaiah was also present at the function.
