Rules on hoardings in rural areas
Special Correspondent
VILLUPURAM: The State government has framed certain rules for putting up hoardings and advertisements in rural areas, according to C. Kathiravan, Collector in-charge.
In a statement on Tuesday, he said that advertisers should submit in prescribed forms details regarding the size and materials used, along with the stipulated fees, to the Collector. They should also get a no-objection certificate from the respective police station before submitting the forms. Unauthorised advertisements would be removed and the expenses recovered from the advertisers.
