Injured in accident

KRISHNAGIRI: B. Nandakumar, Assistant Commissioner, Armed Reserve Police, St. Thomas Mount in Chennai was injured in an accident while escorting three accused in the Coimbatore bomb blast case for trial to a court in Coimbatore on Monday evening.

The car in which they were travelling met with an accident on Tirupatthur road in Uthangarai while its driver R. Karthikeyan tried to overtake a truck.

Vanyambadi DSP Suresh Kumar escorted the accused from Tirupatthur to Coimbatore.
