Protestors seek increase in wages

RAMANTHAPURAM: A group of 40 persons, most of them women, blocked the traffic on Therbodi-Panaikulam Road on Tuesday. They were demanding increase in wages for the National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme workers. As the officials promised to take up the issue to the higher officials, they withdrew the protest.
