Health awareness programme to be conducted from today

PUDUCHERRY: A health awareness programme will be conducted at the community hall of Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research (JIPMER) from Wednesday to Friday, between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. and between 3 p.m. and 8 p.m.

The programme comprises of a health exhibition, and a talk on various health awareness topics like healthy diet, yoga for lifestyle diseases, importance of physical activity, patient safety and waste management, between 4.30 p.m. and 5.30 p.m. on all three days.

There will be a question and answer session following the talk.

The first few visitors may avail free check-up of blood pressure, height and weight, BMI and blood sugar.

This health awareness programme is part of the Health Promotion Project, awarded to JIPMER, under the auspices of the World Health Organisation.
