INTEC from July 2

COIMBATORE: Coimbatore District Small Industries’ Association will organise here INTEC 2009, an engineering products fair, from July 2 to 7.

According to a release from the association, about 400 participants will display products on nearly 7,500 sq m at the CODISSIA Trade Fair Complex.

Companies from Maharashtra, Gujarat, Rajasthan, Delhi, Haryana, Punjab, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, West Bengal, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Kerala and Tamil Nadu would participate apart from those from Japan, China, Singapore, the U.S., the UAE, Italy, Taiwan and Germany.

Operation of the machines would be demonstrated at the fair. The event has been approved by the ITPO.

One of the highlights of the fair is the participation of Saxony Economic Development Corporation, which is looking at business opportunities here.

The fair would benefit industrial entrepreneurs, executives, buyers and sourcing personnel, technical experts, consultants, contractors and officials.

A buyer-seller meeting would be organised as part of the exhibition and a technical seminar would be held on Global Manufacturing Cluster Vision 2020. With signs of revival in the industry and the new Government indicating investment promotion, the exhibition is an opportunity for investors and entrepreneurs to know the latest technology, modernise their units and innovate.

Some of the products to be exhibited included, machine tools, accessories, hydraulics, pneumatics, foundry equipment, pollution control equipment, industrial consumables, instrumentation and automation, software solutions for machinery, metallurgical plant and equipment and precision tools.
