Three more arrested for group clash

NEW DELHI: Three more persons have been arrested in connection with the clash between two groups in Chirag Dilli here this past week that left three young men dead. A total of five persons have been arrested so far.

The three have been identified by the police as Sunil Pandey alias Sonu (24), Amit Pandey alias Monu (25) and Bhisham Sharma alias Sidharth (20). All three are residents of Chirag Dilli. Amit Gulia and Kuldeep Sehrawat were arrested earlier.

According to the police, Nikku and Amit had liquor during a ring ceremony at Sanatan Dharam Mandir on June 25 and had an altercation with Vijender and Vikas when the two objected to their behaviour. The two left the function midway allegedly threatening Vijender and Vikas with dire consequences.

The police said the accused have a criminal past.
