SP’s directive in rape case

GUNTUR: Superintendent of Police S.B. Bagchi has issued orders for arresting a CRPF constable and a civilian, suspended a constable and dismissed a home guard, who are facing allegations of raping a mentally deranged woman at Machavaram in Guntur district recently.

The SP gave the orders for arresting CRPF constable Reddappa Reddy and a civilian, Venkateswarulu, suspended a police constable, John Babu and dismissed Somi Reddy. The four were charged with threatening and molesting the woman in an inebriated condition near the bus shelter.
