Case registered against woman trickster

GUNTUR: The police here on Monday registered a case against a woman identified as Billuri Bhavani for cheating five persons promising them jobs in the High Court. She had reportedly swindled large amounts of money from them.

She is the wife of Brahmaiah, a resident of Guntur. There were similar cheating cases pending against her in Lalapet and Nagarampalem police stations in Guntur and in Hyderabad in the past, the police said. She had allegedly taken Rs. 40,000 from Dogiparthi Rajeswari, working as a teacher in Pragna School and similar amounts from four other relatives staying in Guntur and Hyderabad.

A complaint has also been made against an advocate K. Ramesh hailing from Nehru Nagar, the police said. The police are investigating the case .

Meanwhile Bhavani contended that she was being ‘framed’ in the case as she had financial disputes with the complainants.

The complainants, on the other hand showed certain documents allegedly prepared by Bhavani forging the signature of a High Court Judge.
