Udupi
Udupi: Satish Poojary, in-charge president of the Udupi Taluk Panchayat, said on Monday that the physically challenged persons should avail the benefits of the various schemes launched by the Government for their welfare. He was speaking at the “Adalat for the physically challenged” of Udupi taluk here. Mr. Poojary said that the policy of considering the family income to pass on the facilities for physically challenged persons was unscientific. This should be changed to consideration being given to individual income, Mr. Poojary said.
