WELL DONE: Chief Educational Officer K. Swaminathan addressing graduate teachers at a programme organised to honour them in Tiruchi on Monday. TIRUCHI: Teachers of government and aided schools who produced cent per cent results in the respective subjects in the SSLC examination held in March were honoured here on Monday. Chief Educational Officer K. Swaminathan distributed appreciation certificates to as many as 600 teachers in recognition of their service at a function held at the E.R. Higher Secondary School premises in the city. Of the total number of 31,660 students who appeared for the SSLC exam held in March, as many as 28,589 of them passed with the overall pass percentage being 90.3. Lauding the teachers for the effort they had taken in achieving cent per cent results in their respective subjects, Mr. Swaminathan said appreciation certificates were given to the teachers to motivate them. He called upon the teachers to strive to enable students get more marks next time.
