Corrections and clarifications

An error in the heading. It is Section 377 as given in the text of a report “Article 377 may be repealed” (June 28, 2009). We repeat the correction issued on October 3, 2008. “... It should have been Section 377 of the Indian Penal Code, which criminalises unnatural sex. ‘Article’ refers to the Constitution.”

A person’s body is interred and not interned as mentioned twice in a report “Tension at panchayat chief’s funeral” (Chennai city, June 29, 2009, page 4). It is from the Latin ‘in + terra’ (earth).

It is Justice Raja Fayyaz Ahmed. A report “Sarabjit’s petitions dismissed” (June 25, 2009, page 1) had it as Justice Rana Fayyaz Ahmed.

The photocaption in a report “ONGC net dips 16% in Q4” (“Business” page, June 25, 2009) was wrong in identifying R.S. Sharma, CMD, as being on the left, along with A.K. Balyan, Director, Human Resource, ONGC, at a media interaction session in New Delhi. It should have been A.K. Balyan (left).
