Petition filed against Bellary MP

BANGALORE: A petition was filed in Karnataka High Court against Shanta, MP from Bellary. One of the contestants, who lost the elections, filed the petition against MP Shanta of the Bharatiya Janata Party alleging that she did not belong to Scheduled Tribe (ST) category and that she had given a false caste certificate during the elections.
