Staff Reporter

VIJAYAWADA: Several organisations are promoting awareness by organising free yoga training sessions in the city once again. Yoga and meditation have always attracted the wide attention of the public, who seek relief and cure from a variety of both chronic and minor diseases.

“People can learn how to do yoga systematically. Our sessions will aim at imparting the right guidance with the help of well-trained experts,” says Jupudi Basaveswara Rao, founder president, Pranadata Yoga Seva Kendra. They are organising special, free yoga training sessions for patients suffering from blood pressure and diabetes from July 1.

These training classes will be held at Hotel Paradise conference hall, Congress Office Road, Governorpet, for 30 days between 5.30 a.m. and 7 a.m. Those interested in more details can contact 9848045044 or 0866-2430307.

‘Palm’ cure

The Patanjali Yoga Sadhana Kendra is organising awareness and free training classes on “Therapeutic effects in your palm”. The classes are being held at its office in Boyapativari Veedhi, Sitarampuram, from 5.30 a.m. to 7 a.m. Known as Korea’s “su-jok-therapy”, the palm therapy is being popularised among the local people.

Useful tips

Besides these awareness sessions, the Patanjali Kendra also imparts free classes on yoga, pranayamam, meditation and other health practices. For details, organiser Uppalapati Gandhi can be contracted at 2433438 or 0866-6527820.

These yoga training organisations also focus on providing tips to the patients on how to use and practise the traditional methods of yoga and meditation for the best results with regard to the cure of their diseases. From indigestion to insomnia and from skin allergies to spondylitis, these yoga organisations aim to enhance awareness on a wide range of diseases that can be cured effectively with the help of yoga. Proper guidance is also given with regard to the health problems of children and women.
