Protests over student’s death
HYDERABAD: The death of an Intermediate student, Rohan, triggered protests with student unions staging a demonstration at a residential college in Saroornagar on Sunday, holding the management responsible.
Students damaged windowpanes and furniture in the college. They alleged that students were suffering from health problems by drinking contaminated water supplied in the hostel. Rohan, 17, hailing from Nalgonda, was suffering from fever for the last few days. On receiving information, Rohan’s parents took him to Nalgonda.
On Saturday, he was admitted to a corporate hospital at L.B. Nagar where he died, according to the police.
