COIMBATORE: The Maha Kumbhabhishekam of Paramasivan Temple, Sundakkamuthur, Ramachettipalayam, will be held on July 1. Special pujas will be held on the temple premises from June 29.

A grievances day meeting will be held at the office of the Superintending Engineering / Coimbatore Electricity Distribution Circle / Metro, Tatabad on July 1 at 3 p.m.

Another grievances day meeting will be held at the office of the Superintending Engineering, K. Vadamadurai, on July 1 at 11 a.m., according to a release from the Tamil Nadu Electricity Board.

The Usha Fire Safety Equipment (P) Ltd., conducted a one-day workshop on disaster management and life saving skill on June 23. Training in handling dangerous situations like emergency in flight, terrorist attack, bomb threat, fire, poisonous gas leakage and road accidents.

The Institute of Forest Genetics and Tree Breeding will conduct a free one-day training for higher secondary school students on “ABC of DNA” on June 30 at 9 a.m. at the institute. The course will contain topics on DNA finger printing, genomics, gene cloning and electrophoresis.

Sri Aurobindo Devotees Prayer Group will conduct essay-writing competition in English and Tamil for students.
