Four arrested on cheating charge

Bangalore: The city police arrested four persons who allegedly cheated people to the tune of at least Rs. 25 crore, here on Friday.

The accused had opened four fake companies in the city to carry out their activities, the police said. They lured the public to deposit money by promising them a higher rate of interest. But they spent the collected money to lead a lavish lifestyle.

The accused have been identified as H.R. Prabhakar, B.N. Radhamani, H.R. Venkatesh Prasad and H.R. Anand.
