Injured woman, daughter recovering
HYDERABAD: The condition of Vinod, 24, who attempted suicide by stabbing with a knife, and that of Reshma, 22, and her mother, Pasha Begum, 48, whom he attacked at Pahadisharief on Friday night, is improving, doctors said.
All the three injured persons were shifted to the ENT Hospital at Kothi on Saturday. Vinod, a factory worker belonging to Bihar, fell in love with co-worker Reshma. Enraged over rejection of his marriage proposal, he attacked Reshma and her mother inflicting injuries and stabbed himself in the process. The knife that got embedded in his throat was removed by the doctors after surgery at the Osmania Hospital. “He could not speak because of the surgery but wrote on a slip that he had given all his earnings of the past four years to Reshma’s family,” the police said.
