Assumes charge
P. Marimuthu, who was Deputy Commissioner of Labour in Coimbatore, has assumed additional charge as Joint Commissioner of Labour following the transfer of A. Thangavelu, Joint Commissioner, to Chennai.
New ATM
Punjab National Bank has opened an automated teller machine (ATM) at its branch on New Dharapuram Road, Palani.
According to a release, the bank has 2,298 ATMs in the country and the new one is the 21st in the Trichy Circle.
The ATM can also be used to make BSNL bill payments and transfer of funds.
Branch opened
IFCI Financial Services, a subsidiary of the Industrial Finance Corporation of India, has opened its second branch in Coimbatore.
According to a release, I-Fin will provide guidance in stock broking, commodity broking, depository participant services, investment banking, insurance, mutual fund, IPO, portfolio management and currency trading.
The company has a branch on Avinashi Road. The second one is at 48, De Sa Ba Colony, West Club Road.
Seminar held
CRISIL conducted a seminar on ‘Outlook on the Indian Economy and an Overview of CRISIL Bank Loan Ratings’ here recently.
CRISIL has announced 1875 bank loan ratings in the country.
Sunil Sinha, senior economist and head of CRISIL Centre for Economic Research, presented CRISIL’s outlook on the Indian economy and industry.
