Tirumala tech college students bag first prize at robocamp

Hyderabad: Students from Tirumala Engineering College, Bhogaram bagged the first prize for their mobile controlled robot at International Institute of Information Technology – Hyderabad’s RoboCamp 2009 workshop, which concluded here on Saturday.

The students developed a mobile controlled robot which operates on the dual tone multi-frequency (DTMF) decoder concept. They won Rs. 1800 cash prize.

They were among the 190 students representing various colleges across the country. This is the fourth edition of the workshop.
