Karwar: The Bhatkal police convened a meeting of heads of banks and other financial institutions of Bhatkal taluk on Saturday. Police Inspector Guru Mathur asked the participants at the meeting to step up security at their banks/institutions. He said security guards who have experience should be appointed. He said the police would write to all banks to strengthen the security at the strong rooms. The participants said they would cooperate with the police.
