KOLKATA: Unseeded Neha Prasad continued her giant-killing act ousting fourth seed Aliya Nayeem in the quarterfinals of the girls’ singles under-18 event of the Calcutta Punjab Club BTA junior tennis championship on Saturday. Neha had beaten the second seed in the under-14 category on Friday. Neha was in total control against Aliya. She took no time in grabbing the first set 4-1. Aliya made a come back in the second set with better rallies from the baseline forcing Neha to make errors. However, Neha prevailed in the tie-breaker. The results: Girls: U-18 Singles (quarterfinals): Andrea Das bt Shreya Das 4-1, 4-1; Priyam Periwal bt Angana Mukherjee 5-3, 4-2; Neha Prasad bt Aliya Nayeem 4-1, 5-4(3); Tulana Nan bt Ishita Tibrewal 4-1, 4-1.
