GVJ FC triumphs

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: GVJ Football Club won the Thiruvananthapuram district ‘C’ division football league at the Medical College ground on Saturday.

In its last match, GVJ overcame Udaya Sports Club 2-1 to record its fifth win in the league. GVJ finished at the top with 16 points and qualified for the ‘B’ division. St. Xavier’s College finished second with 14 points.

In ‘D’ division, Lucky Star scored a solitary goal win over Skylark FC.
