Karwar: The Deshapande Rural Development and Self-Employment Training Institute (D-RUDSETI) unveiled many programmes. R.V. Deshpande, Chairman D-RUDSETI Haliyal, said the institution wanted to make the rural masses self-reliant. D-RUDSETI was a via medium for the all-round development of the rural people in the district. Mr. Deshpande was speaking at a function got up by D-RUDSETI on Friday to explain the different courses taken up by it to help the rural youths. He said The Deshapande Trust, which runs RUDSETI, believed in promoting wellness through health and excellence among the rural population, to empower the youth and rural women to make them self-reliant. The institute had arranged a special programme to showcase its objectives and the achievements. The institute would soon open a dress designing course for SC/ST students. Another programme in Tally and security service training was being offered.
