CII focus

BANGALORE: The Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) will “give a greater thrust to the development of micro, small and medium enterprises”, said C.R. Swaminathan, who recently assumed charge as CII chairman for the Southern region. The CII would focus on economy, infrastructure and governance in 2009-10, Mr. Swaminathan said.

He said the organisation would focus on — revival of the economy, infras-

tructure and corporate governance. He said the MSMEs were vulnerable during the downturn.
