‘Pulsar’ gang strikes again

Staff Reporter

VIJAYAWADA: The black pulsar gang once again struck in the city on Friday. Two persons riding a black pulsar at Gollapudi near Ayyappa Swami temple in the morning snatched a gold chain (‘nalla poosalu’) from a woman, who was approaching the bus stand.

N. Lakshmi Bhavani, a resident of Gollapudi, was coming out along with her child from their lane.

A speeding pulsar halted for a fraction of a second, and the pillion rider tried to snatch all the three gold chains. Ms. Bhavani, who was alert enough, tried to guard herself and the gold ornaments she was wearing. The bikers managed to escape with ‘nalla poolsalu’, the police said.

The One Town police registered a case and are investigating.
