For divers: Ulrich Fisher, Vice-President, Sales, Tissot and Bollywood actor and brand ambassador Deepika Padukone at the launch of Sea-touch on Friday. — HYDERABAD: The Swiss watch brand Tissot launched a new niche product, Sea-touch, a tactile watch for divers that will maintain its performance at all levels - above and below sea level. The 156-year-old Tissot, a member of the Swatch Group had been pioneering niche watches under various categories - for sportsmen, mountaineers and under heritage, gold, pocket, high-end technology categories. Though Sea-touch is a niche watch, it is not for divers alone as it goes as an accessory with its striking features, said Dr. Ulrich Fischer, Vice-President, Sales, at a media conference here on Friday. It is priced at Rs.47,300. Tissot, which has five franchisee stores in India, including Hyderabad, plans to open four more stores in Mumbai, Chennai, Cochin and Bangalore. Despite recession, their global sales were overall growing barring regions like North America. In India too where Tissot brand was launched 10 years ago there was no negative impact. “India in another three to five years can become one among top 10 markets among our 165 markets across the world,” he said.
