VIJAYAWADA: Jain Muni Panyas Pravar Sri Udayprabh Vijayji, who arrived in the city on Thursday for Chaturmas Deeksha, was accorded a traditional and rousing welcome by the Jain community of the city in One Town. The Muni arrived along with his eight disciples, and they were received in ceremonial ‘samaiya’ (Kalash) at Vastralatha centre near Kaleswara Rao market. They were taken in a procession to the newly built Jain temple in Poolabavi street. The procession then proceeded to Sambhavnath Jain temple. They were received at Sri Aradhana Bhavan, where they will camp during their Chaturmas that officially begins on July 6.
