Vaiko opposes Centre’s move on NLC equity

CHENNAI: MDMK general secretary Vaiko has opposed the reported move of the Centre to sell 10 per cent of equity of the Neyveli Lignite Corporation (NLC).

In a statement here, he urged the Centre to withdraw the move, pointing out that the NLC had acquired “mini ratna” status among the public sector undertakings on the strength of its dedicated workforce.
