Local holiday

CHENNAI: The State government has declared July 2 (Thursday) a local holiday for all schools and government offices in Tuticorin district in view of the Kumbabishegam at the Surbramaniaswamy temple at Tiruchendur.

To compensate the holiday, the schools and the offices will function on July 11 (Saturday), according to a gazette notification. — Special Correspondent
