Hostel admission for BC and MBC students

Those candidates whose parents’ annual income is less than Rs. 1 lakh are eligible to apply


COIMBATORE: Applications are invited from backward, most backward and listed community students for admission to hostels run under the aegis of the Backward and Most Backward Classes Welfare Department.

According to an official release, those desiring admission to school and college hostels run for such students can collect the applications from the District Backward and Minorities Welfare Office in the Collectorate or from the respective hostel wardens.

Students, whose parents’ annual income is less than Rs. 1 lakh, are eligible to apply. Preference will be given to those whose residence is more than 5 km from the school / college.

Filled-in applications for college hostels should reach before July 10.

Scheduled Caste / Scheduled Tribe students will be considered for admission to the hostels based on the reservation policy.
