PCC president to visit Vijayawada on June 26

VIJAYAWADA: Andhra Pradesh Congress Committee president D. Srinivas will review the performance of the party in the recent election at a joint meeting of Krishna district and Vijayawada city committees at Swarnavedika here on June 26.

City Congress president Pyla Sominaidu, addressing a press conference here on Monday, said that all MLAs, ZPTC members, MPTC members, Vijayawada MP L. Rajagopal and Minister K. Parthasarothy will attend the meeting.

The PCC president has been reviewing the performance of the party in different districts. Over 1,000 leaders and active members of the party are expected to attending the meeting

Vijayawada Central MLA Malladi Vishnu, referring to the demands for release of water from Prakasam Barrage by Telugu Desam Party MLA Devineni Umamaheswara Rao, said that the TDP did not have the moral right to ask because water was never released to farmers of Krishna delta even once during its rule.
