VIJAYAWADA: The city police convened a meeting with jewellers in Governorpet area here on Monday. On the occasion, ACP Prakasa Rao asked the jewellers to install Closed Circuit TVs in their shops so that the thieves or burglars could be identified in case of theft or burglary. Stating that parking in front of the jewellery shops would help the culprits in escaping easily, he said them a separate parking lot would be provided to the jewellery shops. The ACP also wanted them to collect the credentials of their employees. The jewellers were also suggested to inform the police and Rakshak immediately after noticing theft or burglary. The Rakshak vehicles would be manned by two armed police. The Rakshak services would be available round the clock, he said.
