Nokia N86 launched
Special Correspondent
CHENNAI: Nokia has statistics to show that about 40 million new photos are uploaded to Facebook everyday. That means about 2,000 photos every second. No wonder their research led them to announce the Nokia N86 hard-selling one feature — its 8 mp camera.
The idea is that people do not always carry their digital camera around but do not walk without their mobile phones, thereby making it the ideal device of record. T.S. Sridhar, regional general manager, Nokia India, says: “With its wide angle Carl Zeiss Tessar lens (28 mm) for beautiful wide angle shots and 8 mp sensor, the Nokia N86 8 mp ensures that those impromptu photo opportunities are never again missed.”
Again, the company’s market research showed that people were demanding mobile cameras that were capable of taking excellent pictures under all conditions, including low-light situations. Mr. Sridhar says the internal memory alone is sufficient to store about 4,000 pictures, probably an entire wedding.
