Computer generated reminders will be sent to officers concerned if there is any delay Petitioners can get status by dialling helpline number 9849903868 Kakinada: The district administration is set to launch an SMS-based on-line grievance tracking system `e-Parishkaram’ on June 22. Under this novel scheme for which National Informatics Center (NIC) developed the software, grievances will be fed into computers and each one of the grievances will be allotted a unique identity number. The grievances are given deadlines for disposal by the officers concerned and the aggrieved public are given receipts for the applications. Addressing a press conference here on Saturday, Collector Gopalakrishna Dwivedi said the grievances would be forwarded to respective officers, who would also be provided identities for logging on to the website and updating status of the petitions. The officers would get computer-generated reminders (both SMS and e-mails) about the grievances that needed to be disposed by them if no action is taken within the stipulated time and grace period of three days would be given. If the grievances remain unsolved even after the grace period, SMS and e-mails would be sent to the officers concerned and heads of their departments and also the Collector and Joint Collector for taking penal action against the derelict officials. The petitioners can know the status of their applications by sending SMS to or making calls to the helpline number 9849903868 or log on to the website http://e-parishkaram.gov.in Mr. Dwivedi said the computerised system has been necessitated by the problems caused by the large turnout of people to the district headquarters every Monday for the Grievances Day. Most of the petitioners come to the district headquarters unaware of the fact that their applications could be disposed of at the local level itself. e-Parishkaram would help reduce the number of visits a person is normally required to make to Kakinada to get his work done. They can submit their petitions at the mandal parishad development offices and revenue division offices and ITDA project office (for the tribal people of Rampachodavaram). Joint Collector K Sasidhar, trainee collector Vivek Yadav, DRO M Mohan Raju, district informatics officer Karrar Haider Baqri and district informatics associate V.B.S. Subba Rao were present.
