Bachelor’s degree in social work on offer in Hubli college

Dr. Sarojini B.S.W. College to function from B.K. Hostel premises


Hubli: Spandana Seva Samsthe has established Dr. Sarojini B.S.W. College in Hubli, which will start functioning immediately.

Founder of the samsthe and the college Sarojini Chavalar told presspersons here on Saturday that the college had been established with an objective to provide quality education in the field of social work.

According to her there was dearth of qualified graduates in the field of social work and those with a bachelor’s degree in social work were needed in various government departments and also the private sector.

The candidates with Bachelor’s in Social Work could also work in non-governmental organisations, she said.

The college will function from the B.K. Hostel premises behind Timmasagar Temple at Vidyanagar. Teachers have been appointed.

The college is affiliated to the Karnatak University and has a tie-up with NGOs.She said fee would be charged as per university rules.
