Hyderabad: The environs of the Electronics Corporation of India Limited (ECIL) on Friday were calm, even as three of its employees were in a critical state at Poulomi Hospitals at A.S. Rao Nagar. One of the employees with 25 percent burns was receiving treatment in the ICU of the hospital. ECIL’s main entrance was as usual heavily guarded by the CISF personnel. There were no tell-tale signs of any ambulance, police presence, relatives of the injured or any senior official either at the ECIL campus or the hospital. The ECIL grounds were as usual packed with youngsters playing cricket and elders taking an evening walk. The calmness, however, was deceiving and skin deep. CISF personnel showed no attempt to hide their irritation and were quite nervous. “You are not supposed to come here. If you want to find anything about the injured then go to the hospital,” was their terse reply. Meanwhile, doctors of the hospital informed that the three P. Kamalakar(28), M. Surendar (21) and a 20-year-old girl V. Sirisha were admitted with severe burns. Two other employees were give outpatient treatment before being discharged.
