SNC-Lavalin case posted to June 23

KOCHI: The CBI Special Court has posted the SNC-Lavalin case to June 23 for considering the issue of summons to the accused. The summons will be issued to the accused based on the charge sheet filed by the investigating agency.

The CBI had filed charge sheets against nine persons, CPI(M) State secretary Pinarayi Vijayan being the seventh accused.

The CBI has listed the following as accused in the case: K. Mohanachandran, former Principal Secretary, Power (first accused); K.G. Rajasekharan Nair, former member of the Kerala State Electricity Board (Accounts) (second accused); R. Sivadasan, former KSEB Chairman (third accused); M. Kasthoori Ranga Iyer, former Chief Engineer (Generation) (fourth accused), Sidhardha Menon, former KSEB Chairman (fifth accused); Klaus Triendl, Senior Vice-President, SNC-Lavalin (sixth accused); A. Francis, former Joint Secretary, Power (eighth accused); and SNC Lavalin Company (ninth accused) as accused in the case.
