BANGALORE: Central Zone was in a commanding position against President’s XI on the second day of the NCA’s Hemu Adhikhari inter-zonal (under-19) cricket match here. President’s XI, replying to Central’s first innings total of 228, was skittled out for 79. Central, in its second knock, made 227 for two, with centuries from Ankit Lamba (108 not out) and Ashok Menaria (105). The scores: North 289 in 92.2 overs (Gurinder Singh 81 , Preetkamal 54 , Manan Sharma 32, Mandeep Singh 29; Krishna Das three for 85, Kundan Singh four for 94, Arijit Banerjee three for 49) and 135 for five in 45 overs (Govind Poodar 39, Abhishek Das 36 ) vs. East 66 in 26 overs (Sandeep Sharma four for 18,Vikram Dahiya four for 26).
