YSR to take up upgradation of State roads with Centre

HYDERABAD: Chief Minister Y. S. Rajasekhara Reddy will take up with the Centre, the issue of clearing the proposals sent by the State government to upgrade five different State roads into National Highways.

A decision to this effected was taken at a meeting here on Monday chaired by him and attended by Roads & Buildings Minister G. Aruna Kumari. The five roads proposed for upgradation are :

Hyderabad-Srisailam-Dornala-Atmakur-Nandyal (354 km)

Guntur-Tadipatri, Dharamavaram connecting NH 5 to NH 7 (530 km)

Adilabad-Vemulawada-SiddipetPiduguralla-Narasaraopet-Vodarevu (630 km)

Srioncha-Nakrekal-Naglonda-Rapur-Venkatagiri-Renigunta (725 km)

Kakinada-Rajahmundry-Suryapet (300 km).
