President condoles death of Habib Tanvir

NEW DELHI: President Pratibha Patil on Tuesday condoled the death of theatre personality Habib Tanvir, who passed away in Bhopal on Monday.

In a letter to Mr. Tanvir’s daughter Nagee, the President described him as an acclaimed playwright, actor and director. The veteran director was known for his innovative style and approach to theatre and his demise has left a colossal void, she added.
