Katihar: A station house officer was suspended on Thursday for ‘illegally’ detaining a businessman in custody at Routara police station in Bihar’s Katihar district a couple of days ago, Superintendent of Police A.K. Yadav said. Faiz Ahmed, SHO, allegedly picked up a prominent trader Dilip Bhagat from his factory at Routara on June 2 and allegedly detained him for three hours in custody, Mr. Yadav said. “An inquiry confirmed that Mr. Ahmed illegally detained the businessman for three hours and beat up him,” he said. ,
