Life skill training workshop held

CUDDALORE: A three-day workshop was conducted recently at Agricultural Research Centre, Vriddhachalam, to impart life skill training to rural youth. According to C. Thirumugam, NSS District Liaison Officer, the workshop was organised under the aegis of ‘Vazhnthu Kattuvom’ scheme to inculcate self-confidence among rural youth on how to set goals and achieve them.

The workshop also dwelt on aspects of personality development like overcoming mental stress and phobias, developing problem-solving skills and time management.

Project Manager (‘Vazhnthu Kattuvom’) S. Nithiyanantham gave an account of the programme and distributed certificates to participants. Assistant Project Manager Chitti Babu and Mr. Thirumugam, who is the chief training coordinator of Dawn Vocational Education Institute that imparted the training, also spoke.
