Urogynaecology unit launched

CHENNAI: Madras Medical Mission (MMM) has launched a superspeciality unit in urogynecology and a Breast Care Clinic to tackle the rising incidence of urogynaecological disorders and breast cancers.

“The new superspeciality units will deliver holistic care under one roof and work toward raising the quality of life of the patients,” Thangam Varma, Medical Director, Institute of Reproductive Medicine and Women’s Health, MMM told a press meet on Thursday. The “Breast Care Clinic” gains added relevance with the emergence of breast cancer as the leading cancer affecting women.
